Bittersweet
« on: September 01, 2010, 06:33:22 PM »
I've been adding lime or lemon juice to my club soda for a while. Since going on Paleo, I've been amazed at just how much lemon juice I'm adding. At this rate, I'll be drinking my lemon juice strait in a few months.

When I was in from my run to buy some club soda, I was at the cash and I looked at the candy and I had a real craving for sour candy. Silly question, is there such a paleo confection that is a tart 'candy'?

Kumquats might work.

Kimquats are fruit, not a confection.

Well, strictly speaking, a confection involves sugar and is therefore by definition not paleo.

Fruit are about as close as you're going to get.

Blood oranges and ruby red grapefruit are also quite bittersweet.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

I know it's naughty - but salted fresh fruit is awfully good.

If you eat them, you can make a sweet and sour thingy by just combining pineapple, tomato, onion and capsicum

I've never had a blood orange. I'll have to give it a shot. Thanks!
