Bloated Stomach
« on: February 10, 2013, 07:08:11 AM »
Hello everyone!

I've been doing paleo for about a year now and I'm just shy of my goal weight. However, for the past week or so, I've noticed that I've been extremely bloated and I'm not sure why! Has anyone else noticed what specific paleo foods can make you bloated? I've been making sure to drink plenty of water and I haven't deviated from the plan.

Just curious
Thanks!

-Alex

Congratulations on staying paleo for a year and getting close to your goal weight!  I hope your PCOS is also resolved.

It's possible that while you were losing the weight, your body was getting a significant fraction of its energy from burning stored fat.  Now that you're getting close to your goal weight, less fat may be available, so you may need to get more energy from your diet.  In particular, eating fattier meats may be in order.

Can you say what your original weight was and what your weight is now?  Also, a typical day's food might be useful.  These things might also be useful information for other women who use paleo for weight loss.
