I'll just give you some facts and you can decide on your own.  Whether it's worth it to you I simply can't answer.

Local grass-fed beef can actually be obtained at very fair prices for most people.  I eat cows from across town that are grass fed and routinely get NY strip steaks for 1/7th to 1/10th of their restaurant price.

The omega 3 to 6 ratio is 1:1 (natural/perfect) in grass fed but 1:20 or 1:30 in industrial meat.  This ratio is thought to have huge effects on health.

It tastes great too.

It is significantly better for you, and you should buy it sometimes, but I don't believe you need to eat it 100% of the time. If you eat non-grassfed meat, just make sure to add in additional omega-3 from fish, omega-3 eggs, or fish oil.

The figures I've seen vary between 1:1 and 1:2 for grass fed beef, and 1:4 and up for grain fed beef.  This site cites ratios of 1:2 for grass fed and 1:4 for grain fed:

I have also seen the 1:20 figure for grain fed beef, but I don't remember whether it was based on a scientific paper.  There may be some variation depending on what part of the meat the fat comes from and whether it's just grain finished or grain fed for its entire life.

If money is tight at the moment  buy grain fed and take fish oil tablets to even out the omega 3:6.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

There was someone on here about 9 months ago, Marika. She was posting a basically meat only journal. She said that grass fed beef was more satisfying and she actually needed to eat a lot less than grain fed beef. For her the grain fed didn't save any money.  I haven't noticed the difference.

Grass fed stuff actually takes up to 50% less time to cook, too!

Depends.  I wouldn't go in debt to buy it.  I think any beef is healthier than most foods, and I eat conventional beef in restaurants, friend's houses, etc. That said, I think grassfed is healthier, better for the environment, more humane to the cattle.  All those things matter to me, so I buy it when I can afford it.   We drive through feedlot world (southern NM/TX border) several times a year, and it is so vile.  The idea of eating an animal that has spent weeks standing knee deep in sh*t is disgusting.  The stench carries for miles and takes your breath away.

I find grass fed meat more satisfying, too.  It might just be because the fat tastes better and I eat more of it, though.
