Odd behaviour
« on: September 04, 2006, 02:16:16 AM »
My daughter just told me that she has been throwing up sometimes since she's been on the diet.
After a few questions it turns out that she is throwing up, non-paleo foods.
Potato Bake, and the Meats at a barbecue on sunday, the meat was cooked with vegetable oil.
MacDonalds on Friday night.
Scrambled eggs, (milk was used as an ingredient), on Saturday.
Maybe she's picked up a bug....... but it was only non-paleo, all paleo foods she has kept down during this period.
I've asked her to exclude dairy for a week then try it again and see what happens.

Anyone have or hear about anything similar?

This sort of thing happens to me, not actually throwing up but feeling very sick. Especially when eating a combination of grains and dairy such as macaroni and cheese. If I go out to eat its hard to resist eating non paleo food since I feel funny paying more for food I can make at home, but I soon find that I am in pain as a result.

Thanks for the reply Erin

I have put it down to her body rebelling, perhaps, against the food she is eating, she has said that she does not feel ill in general, so it can't be a bug. I'll see how she goes without dairy products for a week and then get her to try some. If it doesn't agree with her then we'll strike it off the list as well.
