Paleo picnic lunch
« on: January 19, 2012, 06:59:27 AM »
Hello all. I'm new here and on Day 5 of no bread, pasta, rice, cereal, dairy, etc. I've been off sugar for years so it's not a complete shock to my system. I've been feeling great and love how I'm not getting desperately hungry and irritable every four hours or so. Overall, my mood is more even and upbeat.

I am doing a 3 day mountain bike clinic and need to pack food for each day. I'll be having eggs for breakfast so I would appreciate suggestions in addition to hard boiled eggs for what I could bring along.

Thanks!

Jerkys and any type of canned meat. Tuna/kippers/herring that sort of thing. For carbs you can do carrots. hopefully others will show up to offer more advice

Wrapping standard sandwich fillings in lettuce or cabbage leaves, or filling a halved, raw green pepper are good options if you can make your lunch each morning.
