My wife is 39 years old.

She's basically mostly cooked paleo with some rice when she works out.

She gets diarrhea on clams, oysters, squids, shrimps what gives?

Is it because she has had her appendix removed?

Are some people just allergic to nutritious creatures?

I give clams, oysters, squids, shrimps COOKED to her.

Anyone have advice, experience?

I've had my appendix removed and I can eat clams, oysters, and shrimp. I haven't eaten squid.   She is probably allergic.

If it's an allergy it would usually occur withing minutes.  It could also be poisoning but if it happens all the time, then that's unlikely.  Shellfish allegries can be dangerous.

Is there any other common denominator, like the way you cook them or other ingredients or anything like that?

Allergy to seafood is common. I'd avoid seafood if it's causing her problems. Even if it's not a full-blown allergy yet, it could develop into one.

My question is: Where are you getting your seafood? A lot of shellfish (shrimps and scallops especially) are treated with sodium tripolyphosphate, a neuro-toxin which can cause the symptoms you describe. If you're getting your seafood from the store, this could be the case. If you're getting your seafood fresh from the ocean, it is most likely a shellfish allergy.

It is my understanding that not all reactions are allergies per se. Some people are just sensitive to certain foods. That said, how do you prepare them?
