That's really interesting - thank you.

Did I mention, I found coconut oil really cheap at my local Asian grocer. In jars much less than at the health food stores. 1.69 for half a kilo (about two bucks I think)

I dislike the taste of coconut oil.
I use it for massage or for vco detox to get rid of candida in 3 days.
But eating coconut oil is something I wouldn't do because it tastes bad.
As for coconut milk, my tummy disagrees with it.

Grass fed raw beef Muscle Fat and raw bone marrow is wonderful with all more advantages and no disadvantages. I'd vote for raw beef fat as the lipid of choice.

You're crazy. Coconut oil and milk are both great tasting. I come from Cuba so I really, really like coconut based dishes.

Well he doesn't have to like the taste. But I certainly dont think coconut oil tastes of coconut in any way.

Just had burgers (home made) cooked in coconut oil for dinner :D

I agree. I thought coconut oil was supposed to be one of the more neutral cooking oils along with like sunflower oil and almond oil

I'm with goodsamaritan on this one.

I really don't care for coconut milk or oil anymore. I used to really like it but, now when I eat it, I feel a little off. It happened when I made pemmican with coconut oil and it was really good at first but then after that I didn't like it anymore (as if my body was saying 'okay, that's enough!'). And I might have a mild allergy to coconut milk because one time I made hot chocolate with carob, coconut and honey and I reacted very strongly to the honey (I knew I was allergic to honey, but I ate it anyway).

That said, I love Thai coconuts, which are the immature coconuts. I might like mature coconuts, too, haven't had any yet. I also tolerate shredded, dried coconut quite well.

"Virgin" coconut oil has a very distinct aroma.  It's not exactly the aroma I usually associate with coconuts, but it's definitely not neutral.

Other coconut oils are likely to have been processed chemically.

I might try coconut oil again but last time I tried it I didn't like it that much. I still have some.

Oh my kids eat cooked meat most of the time.  It's just that when they get sick I put them on raw meat until they get well.
