Hello!! I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on a particular issue I have with running long distances. I love running, I do tough mudder obstacle courses and local 5k's and in general like doing difficult workouts. I have acid reflux and a hiatal hernia.. Which I'm not sure if they play into this, but I have found that after a hard work out, or a difficult run, distance or just lots of up hills, I can't eat. I get nauseas to the point where I throw up if I do eat. It's a bit annoying, and generally takes me a long time to able to eat- I have to eat mini bites slowly with lots of time in between. This also happens on very long all up hill hikes. So far my friend thinks my goal is to puke in every state rather than hike the most difficult mountains in every state. I haven't gone on a run this long since I've returned to a paleo diet, but I was wondering if any of you had suggestions for what I may be able to eat after a run that I can actually keep down. Do you think maybe just eating paleo will help with this? It's pretty annoying to finish a tough mudder and watch your friends gorge on the protien and nutrition they need and not be able to join them- I'm hoping for a solution! All suggestions are welcome :-).
