thanks for this wlfdg.  Personally I never do tabata with weights, only on the bike.  I tried it on the ergo once and nearly died!

I dry heaved a little just thinking about it.  My husband and I are doing Tabata tonight...I was planning on using the bike, but he'll be interested in the weights for sure.

pretty good! I did 11 squats per 20 secs x 4 minutes = 88 squats with 45kg on my back - then we had a skipping session.

It's a super high intensity interval protocol consisting of 20 sec. of work at 100% output followed by 10 sec. of rest. This is done a total of 8 x = 4 min. total time.
It was originally designed to be a stationary bike protocol. At it's most productive it still is.
