The "Seven Deadly Sins"

• Grains (wheat/rice/oats etc) . . . . . • Dairy (milk/yogurt/butter/cheese etc)
• Refined foods (salt/sugars etc ) . . • Nightshades (peppers/tomato/eggplant)
• Tubers (potato/arrowroot etc) . . . . • Legumes (soy/beans/peas)
• Modernly palatable (cashews/olives etc)

Really off topic, but how do you link displaying a phrase rather than the complete URL? The href code I used at some websites didn't seem to work, maybe I got the syntax wrong. Thanks in advance.
Any idiot can get on a treadmill and watch TV and then take great pride in the fact they've exercised.

[ url=http://www.marksdailyapple.com/case-against-cardio/]We didnʼt evolve to handle that amount of glucose throughput[ /url]

without the spaces after the [

In the message window, highlight the phrase and click the hyperlink button (that puts the url bits in).  Then just put an =http://whatever.... after the first url to put the link in.

Weird, someone answered that question before Tarlach and the post disappeared...
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

You may want to look into crossfit for circuit training options:

http://crossfit.com/

They usually post different routines on a daily basis and have a bunch of videos about the particular exercises.

I'll second crossfit. Great range of exercises.

I hate cardio too which is why I quit the gym (£50p/m). It had no free-weights, just machines, and they pushed you to do insane amounts of cardio. The average workout took (including waiting for the machines) nearly 2hrs and I didn't see any significant fat-loss, just an increase in appetite.

So, I picked up a bar-bell (£20ish) and spent a month doing solely this every other day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WOP9J7QPwI

I lost 6kg in 4 weeks. Since I was actually building muscle too, that 6kg was all fat.

I prefer kettlebell work-outs now, with plenty of squats & swings. Gets me panting the same as a cardio work-out, but I don't find it in the least boring, and there's no impact on my joints (such as ankles, knees, lower back, that you get from running).
Paleo, with occasional dairy.

Grab them! They're well worth it. So much more fun than paying a teenager to bark orders at you while you run for miles staring at a wall.

There is a better way?

Yes, apparently there's something called an abdominatorXXXtreme with which you do 2 crunches a day and end up with a six-pack in 2 weeks. It's only 29999.99 + S&H.  ;)

I'll take 8!

I got a kettlebell a little over 12 months ago and I love it. So far I've convinced 3 others to buy them and they're all hooked now too.
