Trust me nobody is too unfit for CrossFit. I belong to CrossFit Thousand Oaks (
http://crossfitthousandoaks.com/) and we have everyone from top notch athletes to people who can't do sit-ups. The great thing about being part of a CrossFit gym (at least at our gym) is that everyone supports each other regardless of their fitness level. And again I will emphasize the fact that everything can be scaled. For example, we had a workout the other day that involved handstand pushups. At our gym this exercise can be scaled as:
Elite: handstand pushups where head touches the floor
Experienced: handstand pushups where head touches plates
Intermediate: decline pushups with feet on a box
Beginner: regular pushups
No experience: incline pushups with hands on boxes
So no matter what the workout is there will always be a way to tweak it to fit your experience level. Happy CrossFitting!
