Anyone here ski?

It is such an amazing workout for the lower body.  If you haven't tried it but have it on your list of things to do before you die, I urge you to take it up this winter!

Anyone from Colorado here?  I would love to take a caveman forum business trip out to see you and we can discuss evolutionary fitness on the slopes  :D

Skiing scares the hell out of me!  I'm so terrified while I'm doing it that I never have any fun.   :-[  I'm probably amusing to watch, however, as I ponderously snowplow in a large meandering zag down the slope.

Once for about a week, I think it was in '91. Adventure training exercise, we helped set up for some competition, each day we did a few hours work then the rest was free time with free ski hire and chairlift.

It is a brilliant exercise for the lower body, upon returning home, my wife was absolutely shocked at the muscle definition in my legs, her jaw literally fell open, and we had a most enjoyable night.  ;)

Riding my bike has helped me maintain the definition, unfortunately my wife has become quite used to it and no longer reacts in such an enjoyable way.  :'(

But, yeah...skiing, great fun, great workout, try it. :)
