Slackline recommendations?
« on: May 28, 2016, 11:37:02 AM »
I would like to get DP a slackline. He weighs about 15-16stone. Any recommendations or pointers for a complete beginner?

Also I think my nephew would find one fun. He weighs a lot less, maybe 11-12 stone at a complete guess. 17yrs old, obsessed with having a 6 pack! Very gymnastic ally minded! Would he need a different one? I don't know how much variation there is for different weights?

Thanks

Wow, ya know... I've had this in the back of my head for a while to try it out and maybe the kids would like it too.  Now you have me Googling and looking at various products, etc.

Personally, I know these slacklines are just straps a little hardware.  I wouldn't chase a brand name too much unless they have a good return policy etc. in case your people don't like it.

Here's a nice little kit on eBay for $34.95 US:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Titan-Fitness-Classic-Slackline-Kit-2-Wide-x-50-Long-w-Hook-Ratchet-Closer-/361479720072?hash=item5429decc88:g:9scAAOSwUuFW0Nde

It's 50 feet long which should be long enough if you have trees or a deck post that you can fit to.  Let me know what you find.  Could also search Amazon for slackline - I know they have a ton, but closer to $59 each I think.
