30 day Paleo Challenge --> but different
« on: August 09, 2015, 01:01:36 PM »
I've completed ONE 30 day Paleo challenge several months ago; now I'm trying a second one, with a twist.  After watching the video on netflix, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead," I bought a juicer.  Here's my personal challenge: a 10 day juice fast (maybe longer) and Paleo or Juice modified Paleo for the remaining 20 days.  Why not juice for 30 days, you ask --> As a conivor, I think (believe) I need meat or fish on a regular basis.   BTW:  Juicing a bunch of veggies together tastes better than eating them individually.

OK, OK, OK....  I'll start the 30 day challenge TOMORROW, my daughter, her husband and five of my grand kids are spending a few days with us...I cheated at breakfast today and late night snack last night....SO tomorrow I'll reset the calendar and go the 30.

Juice is bad. I suspect this is why noone replied before.

Yeah not a fan of juice or juicing. Too much of a fructose hit the vast majority of the time.

Plus how many carrots does it take to make a glass of juice for instance. Could you comfortably eat that many carrots in the same time it takes you to drink that glass of carrot juice? You're taking the sweet parts exclusively and leaving behind the rest of it.

Not a good idea in my opinion, juicing with Paleo.
