Dinner for January 1st, 2012: poached grouper, sautéed portobello mushrooms, and steamed asparagus with hollandaise sauce. I poached the grouper in olive oil and lemon juice then topped with chili powder. I also added chili powder to the hollandaise. This was my last meal at the Florida vacation home. Bye-bye granite counter-tops!

Dinner for January 7, 2012: Stuffed grape leaves (dolmathes) and tzatiki (cucumber/yogurt sauce). Not 100% paleo, but the grape leaves were stuffed with diced beef, mushrooms, onions, and olives rather than rice. Tonight is the Bama vs LSU rematch, by the way. Roll Tide!

Dinner for January 22nd, 2012: baked chicken wings. These last few photos have been taken on my brand new iPhone, thus the vertical arrangement. The iPhone is so much better than my previous phone, a Droid 2. All the previous photos have been taken on my digital camera, so it's nice to have a phone with a working camera. I could never take photos with my Droid 2 because less than two months into owning it, the autofocus on the phone crapped out; a common defect according to the buzz on the Droid forums. The slide-out keypad started developing problems not long after, but the last straw was when the touch screen started messing up last week. That was my third Motorola phone and I've finally had it with their unreliability. I'm very pleased with the iPhone so far, I feel very good about making the switch.

Abbot,
Your pictures of your meal creations are a real pleasure to see. Keep up the great work!
Also, if you really enjoy curry soups, you should check out my curry chicken soup recipe, which is one of my favorite Paleo-dishes. It calls for Penzey's Maharajah curry powder, which is incredible:

Thanks Zen! I have not tried Penzey's Maharajah curry powder, but I may have to. I do like curries.

Dinner for Friday, January 26th, 2012: beef-stuffed bell pepper and spinach salad with mushrooms and carrots. The beef stuffing was basically a meatloaf recipe ( beef, onions, garlic, celery, ground pepper, parsley, oregano, chili powder, and one egg) inside a pepper. I topped it with parmesan cheese so not 100% paleo, but I felt it needed something and they say confession is good for the soul.
