Stocked up Paleo stuff.

Nick's Sticks,
Tanka Bars
Larabars
Canned salmon in olive oil
In the freezer:
wild sockeye
swordfish
1.5 lbs or so of grass fed chuck
two buffalo steaks

I like the idea of having paleo-snacks in a pinch like tanka bars but I am concerned about all the sodium and stuff that goes into many of these things, bacon etc.  Even canned salmon.

Breakfast:
3 omega eggs
5 strips of bacon. I love bacon, but I think I'm going to stop buying it, and just have it as a rare treat.  Way too much salt, in pretty much every brand.

Snack:
Macadamia nuts and Jumbo Pecans

Lunch:
Blueberries and Canned Wild Salmon.  It was good but I felt like a cat.
A mint life saver (so I don't smell like a cat).

Dinner:
Zucchini and Summer squash boiled with a tiny bit of sea salt and pepper
About 2/3 a lb grassfed chuck, sauted.  Wicked chewy.  I still have a bunch left, next time I'll marinade or use in a stew I think.

So things havent been good the last few days. I've decided I'm going to try to do whole hog, no alcohol, no cheating, until tough mudder.  The one thing I'm gunna keep is coffee.  Mostly because it keeps me regular like clockwork.

77 days.  Can I do it? Place your bets.

Yeah, when I drink, I tend to eat total crap!  I also bought a BBQ grill and ordered like $90 of us wellness meats. Including a bucket of tallow.  I need to figure out how to cook lamb osso bucco!

Today:

Breakfast:
Mug of coffee, black

Lunch:
Three omega eggs, a banana

Snack:
Peacans
Sparkling Pomegranite juice (not very paleo, but better than putting down a beer or three I suppose)

Dinner:
Yam rounds with sea salt, pepper and cyanne cooked in olive oil.
Made kabobs with that grass fed chuck. Marinated for 48 hours in olive oil, lemon juice, a bit of vinegar, onion, garlic and ginger.  Kabobs had mushrooms and tomatos and peppers with some onions.  Pretty good on the grill.  Definitely better than last time.

Holy crap am I stuffed.

Breakfast:
Mug of coffee with almond milk
Lara bar
Plum

Snack:
Cashews
Nick's Sticks

Lunch:
3 omega eggs. Was going to have canned salmon, but cant find can opener.
Strawberries.

Snack:
Champagne grapes.  I had no idea these existed, but they were on sale.  Tiny little grapes!
Few more cashews.
Tanka bar.

Dinner:
Grassfed beef chili based on http://www.paleoplan.com/2009/12-03/bison-chili/
Fresh hot peppers, fresh thyme, no salt. Used some bacon fat with the coconut oil.
Roasted brussels sprouts based on this: http://whiteonricecouple.com/recipes/gardening/roasted-brussels-sprouts-balsamic-vinegar/ again no salt, apple cider vinegar (dont have balsamic).

Breakfast:
Hardboiled Omega Egg
Avacado
2 mugs of coffee.. New brand, weaker than *$'s. w/ almond milk

Snack:
Cashews
Champagne grapes

Lunch:
Grass-fed chili and Brussels sprouts from last night.
I really don't know if I can do this no alcohol thing... ugh.

Got my shipment from US Wellness Meats.  I'm making Paleo wings tonight and now I can use some grass fed butter and tallow.

Dinner:
1 lb of wings (12 wings)
Paleo Bufalo Sauce Recipe:
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cayanne
1 tbs apple cider vinegar
Quarter of a yellow onion
2 garlic gloves
Dash of black pepper
1 tbs of grassfed butter
1 tbs of grassfed beef tallow
1 tbs of bacon fat
1 tbs of coconut oil

Probably could have used less fat (original recipe called for a stick of butter for 20 wings), and would have liked to add some fresh hot peppers, but I have none.

And yeah, red wine. I AM WEAK.

So the wings were really good, but they definite didnt taste buffalo-ey.  Think I need more vinegar or a different type.

Breakfast:
Paleo 'cereal': Sunflower seeds, cashes, strawberries in almond milk

Snack:
Plum

Lunch:
Chili
Salt-free pemmican.  It's like eating a stick of beef flavored butter.  Gunna save this for post work out or hiking.  Feel like I ate a brick.  A tasty brick, but a brick.

I put my bacon grease in little glass jars that are meant for canning. That way I can pour it in hot and it won't matter. I think I got a pack of 6 or 8 jars for about $10 at Target.

Ah, I was just at target.  Yeah I poured it into pyrex last time but its a measuring cup so kinda inconvenient.  No top, and I'm out a measuring cup!

Breakfast:
Coffee w/ almond milk

Late Breakfast:
2 sliders 2 eggs.

Snack:
Iced green tea
a Larabar.

Hmm not really hungry.

Dinner:
Nicks sticks
