Coming up for my one year paleo anniversary and all's well.... my diet is cleaner than ever these days, meat and offal from horse, beef, lamb, pig and poultry (in that order). We've just have several days of bullfighting in my city so I've had some lovely meat and some amazingly good liver, looking forward to more over the summer - I don't have a freezer but if I did I know what I'd fill it up with....

We have blue fish around twice a week and lots of eggs - all fried in grass fed tallow, veg is usually dark green leaves and broccoli and carrots, onions, garlic in stews. Fruit is still something I have to watch as I can easily end up gorging on it, resulting in a dodgy tummy. Alcohol is now 2/3 glasses of wine per week max.

4 small mackerel

2 thick horse burgers - 2 fried eggs

Oct 19th

I'm starting to instigate a new meal plan - more or less the same meal twice a day. The idea is to keep things easier in terms of shopping/thinking about what to have.

My daughter is at school from 8.30am to 2.30pm and my son from 4.30pm to 10.30pm - so I wake up at 6.30, out with the dog at 7.30, breakfast of eggs and meat at 8.30, then we have lunch together around 3pm. I try to have an hour siesta every day, then my daughter has something about 9pm and I have dinner with my son at 11pm. Breakfast is help yourself.

Yesterday I bought a free-range chicken and we had half fried in tallow for lunch and the other half for dinner. We also had mandarins and grapes.

Today it's horse burgers and broccoli and green salad - fruit is mandarins, pomegranate and apples.

Interesting thread cogellero. How about another torso picture... I'm interested as your body is a similar shape (and age) to mine. Have you kept the shape from the last one?
As others have commented it's an incredible variety of protein you have access to there -is it a small town? I realise I'm going to have to up my cooking skills to progress with paleo.

btw as I dabble with Spanish I was interested in your monicker but it didn't have a match in the dictionary.

Hi blot - here's a pic taken this morning - well into October but still like summer here.... I think I have a bit more fat than before (not necessarily a bad thing) and more muscle.

The town has a population of about 350,000 - not too big, not too small (for me). My user name is a word I invented myself so you won't find it in a dictionary - it's based on the word "cogollo"
