Sorry to have wasted everyones time here - I am suffering quite severe depression and am struggling to get back on track.  May start again, but until then thanks for the encouragement & advice.

Mummabear, your journey is a waste of no one's time. Hugs, lady. I struggle with the same things - the blackness and the PMDD - please be kind to yourself and give yourself the same love and care you would show to your children if they were sick.

I do know for myself that if I can string 3 or 4 good days together, everything works better. I have to plan my meals and plan my shopping. And I have to ease into exercise or else, well, I crash and burn.

Come back when you are ready, ok?  We will all be here.

Hi everyone - reading my journal has been inspiring.  Ready to get back to it - my post-natal depression is getting better - still have my moments, but at least they are just moments and not all day.  Been taking lots of herbal supplements - very expensive which doesn't help the anxiety!!   Have been trying to be paleo but haven't been terribly committed which is pretty silly considering wheat makes me angry.  Ate 3 pieces of delicious fruit toast yesterday and now my face is on fire.  Eczema all over my forehead and sides of nose and neck - and it burns!  I used to be able to handle a little bit of wheat but now I can't - I think perhaps it is a good thing.  Am off to the supermarket to restock today and will re start my journal tomorrow.  The time has come to make a change.

Hi - well i have been doing really quite well.  Not 100% paleo but not 100% naughty either!!  made up curries for lunch and zucchini slice for snacks (yes it has rice flour & a little cheese).  Been exercising everyday - OMG I am so sore but it feels great.  Been drinking heaps more water & herbal teas and just really trying to avoid anything particuarly naughty like the biscuit containers in the pantry _(& before you tell me to throw them away I don't think my kids would be too happy.)  I find when I am trying to eat healthier I cook more healthier options so the kids really benefit and really quite enjoy the new foods - I just have to get them to have that first mouthful - that is ALWAYS a challenge.  Hope people reading this food journal get some good ideas because I know that reading back over it inspires me. xx
