I wish I could find organic blueberries sourced from anywhere remotely local right about now.  The stores only seem to have non-organic ones from Argentina these days.

We get them in bulk in season and freeze them.

I've not tried that on my own, but the store-bought frozen blueberries, or an other berry for that matter, taste nothing like the real thing.  Do you doing anything particular to them in order to maintain their taste?

I actually don't care about taste. "Food is fuel" and it has no other purpose in my life.

I disagree. I find frozen berries to be very comparable to the real thing (if frozen).

But it's more nutritious than the red and the yellow.

The ones I have tried neither look nor taste like the real thing.  I had organic ones from Whole Paycheck ('er Foods) a few times and was disappointed.  Blackberries were sort of maroon and tasted awful, blueberries were tasteless, and cherries were bloated.  All tasted watery.  As a kid, my mom would sometimes make desserts with them and they tasted ok then, but I am sure it was because she added sugar, crust, whipped cream, etc.  Plus I was a kid.  :P
