Ok, I went around weighing myself on different scales...the one at the gym, the one at my friend's house, my own scale a few more times....and they all say the same thing! Plus, all those inches off my core area (waist, stomach, hip, thigh) must count for something! I will keep this up (not that eating this way takes any extra effort; it actually feels very natural :) )

After a week of daily intense workouts, I decided to take a rest day today, because all my muscles hurt too much. Usually, I have 2 medium-large-ish meals a day, but for some reason, I'm really hungry today. Is this because my body is trying to recover/repair muscles? I'm eating paleo foods (mostly meat and fat, some vegetables), but I felt hungry about 3 hours after my "brunch". (I usually eat breakfast/lunch at 10am, and then dinner at 5pm).

Yes listen to your body. Rest is important to recover from intense workouts. Are you not eating from 10Am till 5PM or was that an error?

Well, I have breakfast/lunch at 10am, and I finish eating at around 10:30am. I won't eat until dinner at around 5pm or 5:30pm. They are good, full meals though.

I rested yesterday, and had lots of fatty beef and lamb for dinner. Felt so good after eating it :) Feel much better today - less sore, more energetic, etc.

Most likely yes, in my opinion.  Eating plenty of meat for dinner seems to have been the right move.

Hey Maggie,

I was out of town for several days (I gained ten pounds from non-Paleolithic meals  >:(), but in regards to your day of eternal hunger, us cavemen and cavewomen all have those days sometimes. I've noticed that those days occur more often if I'm consistently performing rigorous workouts, but you should try your best to continue to eat 2-3 large meals (as much food as you desire) per day and to avoid snacking regularly.

                    Keep me posted,

                                     Zensenji

Aggghhh stomach flu for the past few days :( Spent Tuesday night shivering with fever and puking/dry-heaving into a toilet.

Ate nothing yesterday, as I was still fevering. Right before I went to bed for the night, I broke down and took a Panadol (have you heard of it? Got it from Hong Kong - amazing stuff; knocked me out for 10 hours. Woke up in the same position I went to bed in, no joke).

I'm feeling much, much better today. The fever broke, and I haven't been able to eat much, but I ate some congee (chinese rice porridge) made with chicken broth and kept it down. It seems to be the only thing that settles my cramping stomach. The thought of meat/fat makes my stomach turn. :(

Anyways, that's my update for now. Can't afford to be sick for too long - in the midst of of midterms and assignments galore!
