Thanks guys, at this rate I will try anything. Might do a chicken broth tonight and get some watermelon. Ive heard bananas are good also?

If its still there tomorrow ill book in to the doc, although what are they really going to be able to give me? anti-biotics? pass!

So whatever stomach thing I had has gone! Must have been either a bug or food poisoning.

I decided to take it easy on my stomach yesterday though. 18.1.12

Breakfast - Chicken Soup

Lunch - Small salad with chicken soup
          - Coconut milk iced tea (apple and cinnamon tea bag with ice and coconut milk)

Dinner - Chicken soup
           - Fried cabbage with S+P in ghee
           - Sauteed capsicum

Completed my second Crossfit class yesterday  :D im loving it! i've never sweated so much after a workout before, and it was only 17mins. Box jumps, kettlebell throws and bar lifts.. So want to go again tonight but I might leave today to rest and go tomorrow night instead. It definitely helps that the instructor and many other people there are Paleo as well. It's like a holistic approach to health and well being  :)

I woke up at 6.30 this morning and felt fresh and wide awake (i usually struggle to get up at 7.45 everyday). Had time to make a nice breakfast and just relax for a bit before going to work. Must be the crossfit! Did another class today- so sore! Love it though.

Breakfast- Fried mushrooms and capsicum
              - Bacon and egg omelette

Lunch     -Salad with tin of salmon (lettuce, spinach, capsicum, parsley, onion, avocado and cherry tomatoes)
              - Shot of expresso coffee in coconut milk and ice (awesome iced coffee!)

Dinner    - Left over chicken soup
              - Fried cabbage in ghee and some chicken stock from the soup

Im hoping to do, if my body will let me, another crossfit class tomorrow night to end the week!

sharkey-remember the object of the game is not to starve yourself-eat the paleo foods till you're not hungry and stop when you're done-easy peasy! also this is a lifestyle change for the long run, not a diet.

Have you ever tried punching your food into a tracker?  I use paleotrack.com and find it works really well for me.  It's a little bit easier to see why I'm hungry/tired/having cravings/etc.  It also shows macronutrients.  It's not perfect, but it has been helpful to me.  Jut a thought...

I think im eating enough- not hungry and having quite large meals! I think Crossfit has actually helped kerb my appetite for big meals.

I use a foodpal app on my iphone occasionally to tell me how many grams of fat, protein, carbs etc food has in it, but will give paleotrack.com a try :)

Dont think ill be making Crossfit- my back has started hurting a bit! and from all those squats last night my legs are killing me. Might go for a walk instead.

Food - 20.1.12

Breakfast - Omlette with berries and cinnamon
               - Small tin of sardines in water.

Lunch       - Tin of salmon in a salad, my usual lunch time food.
                - Shot of coffee in coconut milk and ice (mmmm)

Have not decided on which meat for dinner yet, im cooking for my boyfriend of a week but will still do a paleo dinner...he knows my diet is paleo so he should be expecting something with no carbs! maybe a lamb rack or something with chicken.. and some roast pumpkin and spinach- decisions decisions!

Just wanted to say I borrowed your idea of the iced coffee with coconut milk today, Sharky :) , except I brewed a really strong black tea instead of coffee.  Delicious stuff, thanks for the tip!

Claves- it's my work survival drink :) beats my usual can of redbull!

So I've had a bad food couple of days. Was my friends bday so I made him a gluten and sugar free chocolate cake and ate way too much! Then kept snacking on macadamia nuts, prob went through 200g-  :-\

Today hasn't started off so well either. Made almond meal pancakes with bacon, spinach, onion and half an avocado, punnet of blueberries and black berries and some of the leftover cake. Then I made up some paleo cookies with egg, almond meal, coconut oil, honey and ginger. That was breakfast and lunch so far- while still healthy I've had way too many calories!!

Will do better tomorrow, crossfit definitely helps curb my appetite!

I have some chicken breast for dinner so I might fry that up in ghee with some veggies.

Primal may pernit dairy, supposed "safe starches" such as sweet potatoes and rice, protein powders, etc., depending on individual inclinations.  I think most of the people on this site that do "primal" basically add dairy to their paleo.

Oh ok, I thought it was because Mark Sisson is pro-lean meats? The whole lean vs fatty meats still confuses me a bit because everyone is either one or the other..

Food Diary 23.1.12

Breakfast - 2 slices bacon and 3 eggs. Spinach, onion and half an avocado.

Lunch      - Coconut milk iced coffee
               - Salad with small tin of salmon

Dinner     - Tomato chicken casserole, brocoli, capsicum and carrots.

Snack     - Kale chips

Attended another crossfit class- my legs are still shaking today! :)

I do this, but freeze about 1/2 the coffee in an ice cube tray.  Then I have a coffee "smoothie" of sorts in the morning.  I like it for something different :)

To narrow it down a bit, primal people add fatty dairy (i.e.: cheese, ghee, butter) but I don't know of any who add milk. Additionally, most "paleo cheats" (olive oil, occasionally dark chocolate, New world foods), are not considered cheats under primal

I switch back and forth between paleo and primal depending on circumstances (at home or away, availability of grass-fed beef or not, access to a kitchen or only access to restaurants, etc.).

I reckon once ive lost the fat ill add some diary, but until then its strict Paleo.

Still havent really lost weight, gained some muscle from Crossfit though.. my muscles are hating me right now! and my back- those chin ups are killer (or in my case 'jump ups' as i dont quite have the strength yet :) )

Food Diary 24.1.12

Morning tea - Kale chips and coconut milk iced coffee

Lunch - Large salad with a tin of salmon and some smoked salmon

Dinner - Lamb belly with bok choy, fried carrots and zucchini in coconut oil.

Im going to head to the chemist today and buy some Ketostix to check if im actually in Ketosis!

I just did a ketone test. My levels were 0mg/dl glucose and 40mg/dl of ketone - i assume that means in going through ketosis?  :D
