Thought I would update my food journal and see how I'm going!

14.8.12

Breakfast - none

Lunch - Half Roast chicken with capsicum and cucumber with a handful of spinach

Dinner - Beef mince bolognese on top of zucchini noodles. (beef mince, onion, mushrooms, can of diced tomatoes and tomato paste and garlic)

15.5.12

Breakfast - couple of spoonfuls of leftover bolognese

Lunch - Half roast chicken with capsicum, cucumber and spinach. Dijon mustard also.

Dinner - Chicken thighs fried with eggs, onion and garlic with bacon on top of sauteed red cabbage cooked in ghee.

I thought I would lose weight in my stomach quicker.. hasnt shifted all that much, my back and legs are getting tighter but Crossfit would largely have something to do with that.

Central trunk fat is largely hormone related, specifically cortisol. Sleeping more, cutting out coffee and removing stress is how you'll improve that.

One source of stress that is often ignored, is working out too often for too long at high intensity.

Doing a lot of crossfit can increase cortisol (and do a lot of other negative things).

How often are you going, and how long is each session?

Im sleeping 8-9.5 hours a night and not drinking coffee. On Tuesday i had a couple of sips of my partners capuccino (sugar free) and instantly felt bad in the stomach.. Im thinking it was the milk- massive turn off!

I am going to crossfit 3-5 times a week, mostly 4 though. I am thinking of starting bikram yoga once a week also.

Our classes are an hour, but the actual workout goes for anywhere between 10-30mins- most days its about 12-15mins though so not long at all.. I feel so much better doing it, when i go to crossfit i get really hot at night and sometimes wake up sweating. could that be my metabolism causing that?

I'd say you're going to crossfit too often, but if Wlfdg is still around he'd be able to give you a much better answer.

If the weight doesnt shift soon, ill cut it down to 3, i just love going and dislike any other exercise so it's easy for me to do, esp. because its a really supportive encironment. once a week i go to the 'open gym' where you can do what you want.. so i might not do weights in that time, just row or something instead to get some kind of exercise.

im happy to have the diet aspect right, nothing else but meat and vegetables, i did have some sweet potato last night, about 3/4 cup as a treat, i havnt had it in months.

Lunch - leftover chicken thighs from dinner and some roast chicken with capsium and cucumber

Dinner - chicken marylands oven baked with italien herbs, garlic powder and paprika. Veggies were brussel sprouts, eggplant, sweet potato and zucchini all oven baked in duck fat

Oh god! today i am so ravishing HUNGRY that i just need to post about it!

It started when.. I woke up at 11 last night after going to bed at 10 and feeling hungry (I had 7 lamb cutlets for dinner and lots of veggies) so i went to the kitchen and had 125g homemade beef jerky. I woke up in the morning still feeling full from the jerky so i skipped breakfast. We were going out for a work lunch and lukily for me they had all day breakfast. I order 2 poached eggs with bacon and a small thin steak plus a tomato and mushrooms.. i was still hungry after eating this, it wasnt very nice.. I got back to work and had a cucumber and half a capsicum and a quarter of a chicken plus wing i still had in the fridge for lunches... 2 hours later i was starving again, but it was a craving for sweet food. I decided to go to the supermarket and bought some raspberries and blueberries, 250g in total (i never normally have any fruit but was craving sugar).

Its 2 hours later and i could still eat.. Im going out to dinner tonight and plan to have a lamb rack and pork belly for entree.

 Any advice? why am i SO HUNGRY? Im just not getting satiated.. Im drinking lots of water.. and even so.. not satisfied!
