"crisps" = potato chips. Aha, I had been wondering what crisps were. Thanks!
"chips" = French fries?

I have some big feeds from time to time. I usually gorge myself on meat first, then veggies and if I'm still craving I pound down the fruit. It hasn't effected me in a negative way at all.

You might be going through an adaptation period from your training and need additional nutrient support. I'll be curious to see if it manifests itself in your training in a week or so. You know like when a kid is suddenly eating like he's a bottomless pit and then goes through a growth spurt?

4600 calories today Cheesy just had 1 lb of steak and 1 lb pork belly for dinner, this w.o.e rocks.  What surprised me is how easy it was to eat that quantity of meat and i'm not feeling uncomfortably full, unlike when i eat that pizza last week.

Summary:

Cals:4600
Carbs: 90 g
Protein: 281 g
Fat: 346 g

That's a normal meal for me too.

I thought I might be eating too much though, when I ate about 3lb of steak for dinner the other night and then went looking for snacks   Grin.

well once i get back to being at home for more that 1-2 days a week that will hopefully be a normal day for me.  I was still very full this morning.

Food not so good today, had a work meeting all day that meant lunch was sandwiches and soda Sad  and feeling the 'non-food' now.  Not bothered about it as i know this is going to happen maybe a few times a month just surprised how bad i felt within maybe 30 minutes of eating so called normal food

Well after a week of pretty high calories my body weight is back up to 91.2 kg, a gain of 1.5 kg (~3 lbs) over the week, but my wait has stayed the same size Cheesy  looking forwards to seeing how things go in the gym tomorrow.

Am now limiting carb intake to around training, or just 1 piece of  fruit on the days i don't training.

Yeah yesterday I ate maybe 1 kg of scotch fillets, about 500g of mince, then made a pork roast and ate most of the crackling before it even got to the table for everyone else. Then ate the rest of the roast Smiley

Fruit and nuts liberally in between.

Important to note though that I am actively trying to put on weight, and lifting ALOT in short explosive bursts. Honestly it feels like I burn more in 15 min than I would in 2 hours of running/jogging.

The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

Now i want roast pork Sad

I'm not actively trying to lose weight, i want to lose fat & gain muscle.  the losing fat bit seems to be happening first, partly as my training isn't as regular as i'd like due to lots of traveling with work

One of the ways you know you're adjusting to paleo is when you start noticing prompt bad reactions to so called normal food.

With regard to building muscle, you probably want some resistance/strength training for that.  The body doesn't generally put on muscle unless it thinks it needs it.  Granted you don't have to spend a lot of time on it on paleo.

Already got that bit in hand Wink just frequency is down to 1-2 a week rather than my normal 2-3 time a week
