keep avocado on track
« on: September 28, 2012, 11:52:00 AM »
Hi everyone! Decided to start keeping my food journal on here instead of in a google doc in an effort to stay accountable for my food choices. I feel physically and mentally better when i eat whole paleo foods and have respect for my body, so it's time to stop harming/sabotaging myself so damn frequently. Here we go!

09/28/12
B: 2 hardboiled eggs with guacamole, tomatoes, really delicious lox, vanilla scented black tea
L: beef with ginger, bell peppers, small sweet pepper, and onion; 1 sq 90% dark chocolate
S: egg with guac; few dill pickle rounds (slices? the kind that are on burgers)
S: banana with tb almond butter
D: chicken and vegetable soup

S: 1 sq 90% chocolate
L: chicken salad in lettuce wraps**
D: more chicken salad; yellowtail; frozen berries; a few baby carrots

**this is SO good. here's the recipe:

few tb of homemade or non-canola mayo
3 ribs of celery
2 green onions

B: salmon, tsp mayo, celery, and scallions scrambled with 1 egg
S: some leftover chicken salad
L: salad with lettuce, red pepper, tomato, avocado, steak, and bacon
D: birthday dinner. i'm going to enjoy myself, probably stick to gluten free, low grain options, but i think a non paleo meal is worth it today (i had a blackberry+gin cocktail and small plates of: buckwheat (gf) noodles with veg and pork belly, asparagus with aioli, chicken croquettes with a bite of a gluten-filled waffle, and salad with oranges and haloumi cheese; sticky rice coconut milk concoction for dessert. felt fine during and after, still feel fine today; i feel that i made good choices)
