Yesterday:
pre-workout - banana and almond butter
PT session - light with several push ups
after workout - egg frittatta
lunch - 2 salmon cakes, 2 meatballs, 1 cucumber
snack - beef jerky
dinner - cabbage and sausage, chocolate -avocado pudding
I had more energy yesterday - I didn't start dying till the evening.
PT this morning was very rough circuits - I wish I had more endurance and stamina at this point. However, at the same time, I do not feel bogged down or heavy while exerting myself which I tended to feel pre-paleo. Still no weight loss. Mentally - a little foggy at times but I think reducing my overall calorie intake is helping a little. I was literally gorging myself before. Tomorrow marks one week and I will say that eating this way is super easy to prepare and execute which is a definite plus.

I think that cutting out the starchy carbs will help you with your goals. Go for green veg - the cheapest are savoy cabbage, frozen spinach and kale.
Bacon isn't cheap, I would consider replacing it!
I often spend equal on veg than I do on meat. I get
Lamb - liver, mince, stewing mutton. Chops for a treat
Beef - mince, oxtail, bone marrow
Chicken - liver, thighs, carcasses, hearts
Fish - whole trout and mackerel, smoked salmon trimmings only, frozen or canned salmon, mussels
Pork - belly, which can be slow roasted.
For veg, salad is pricey and in my opinion, disgusting! Frozen spinach is £1 and last for ever. I think I pay about 80p for a cabbage.
Yesterday I cooked a pork belly, which I think was about £5. I had no breakfast and had a half of it for lunch. I wasn't hungry again til 11pm, so I had some chicken liver, which I think was about 75p.
Paleo can cost less than the SAD if you cook a lot and don't mind eating the knarly bits!

I came over here as a result of your request on the diet & nutrition forum.
It looks to me like you are not getting enough calories. You've cut out most of the carbs - good for you on that - but you have not replaced them with anything. Jerky is lean, chicken is lean, cafeteria hamburgers are usually painfully lean. All you're getting is the protein, which won't provide enough calories. The only fat you're getting is from eggs, and unless you're eating a dozen eggs a day, it's not enough.
Eat fatty beef - even grass fed ground beef is not all that expensive on a per calorie basis, if you get the 75% lean stuff. When you eat chicken, make sure you eat the skin with the fat, and prefer dark meat to light.
I don't know what is in your frittatas, but consider making bacon and scrambled eggs instead. Fry the bacon first, then scramble the eggs in the left over bacon grease. Save any extra fat from bacon, ground beef, and other meat, and stir fry mushrooms and onions in it - they'll taste delicious, and you'll take advantage of the fat.
As for the constipation you mentioned in the other thread - it can take a couple of months for your gut flora to adjust and for your colon to clear out. However, you will also poop less on paleo, even without constipation. Unless it's painful, it may not be anything to worry about.
Do think about your omega 3:6 ratios, especially as you are nursing. If you don't use grass finished beef, consider getting organic omega 3 eggs, or at least fish oil supplements.
Which service are you in ROTC for? I went through school on Navy ROTC, a long time ago.

Bacon is actually a pretty cost effective source of calories if you fry it in a pan and use all the fat that comes out of it. Pork belly or at least uncured bacon is better as it doesn't have the nitrates, of course, but pork belly isn't always available and uncured bacon is more expensive.
Agreed with the rest of your post.

Celticcavegirl - thanks for the advice! I will look for those cuts of meat. I live in a small town but we are in the middle of ranching country - might not be too hard. I am saving the bacon I have now for my beef liver.
Warren Dew - thanks for the advice as well! I think I am eating tons - at least over two servings of meat at each sitting - I thought I was eating too much. I cook everything in ghee, coconut oil or olive oil. And I do take a fish oil supplement and splurge on O3 eggs since I eat so many eggs.
I will keep on keeping on and see what happens...
