Hey Guys, since ive had some free time this weekend, ive been scouring the net for recipes, suggestions, etc. and happy to have found this board. Started crossfit training 2 weeks ago (im currently 205/5'9, want to cut down to a bout 175). EIther way, suffice to say i knew i wasnt eating right and happy to take the paleo challenge. The first month my coach suggests no ingestion of sugar what so ever (no fruit no nothing). Not too hard for me because i wasnt a big fruit guy either way, but that said, here is a quick review of what ive been having.
Breakfast- I was addicted to salmon salad on a bagel for breakfast but obviously had to cut out the bagel. Pre-boiled a dozen brown organic eggs for the week and destroyed 2 boiled eggs each day this week (M-F) before leaving for the office.
Lunch- More or less same thing every, Chicken soulvaki or beef kebab from the greek place on a big bed of salad. I looove tzatziki but after first day figured id cut it out, but did opt for the spicy tomato/pepper sauce to give the chicken a little flavour (also had the olive oil/vinegar/lemon dressing which seems pretty light).
Dinner- Once again, trying to make everything easey so when i get home from my crossfit i can pop something into the oven. Bought a bunch of chicken breast/thighs, pre marinated over a day and ziplocked 2 thighs and one breast and froze em. So every night im basically having the chicken with a mix of salad or some other kind of green that ive found that i could sautee.
Had sushi on one night (Only sashimi, but i did cheat as the chef sent over a salmon, green onion, chive and .... Potato pancake, but it was small).
Yesterday i had some time so had 3 eggs for breakfast (thank god i can eat 6 eggs a day). and then followed up with a whole pork tenderloin (delicious) and sushi again at night.
I guess part of the pain is the ever ending hunger, i just mowed 3 eggs for breakfast and am hungry again 25 minutes after. Either way, love to hear your views on if im doing the right thing any ideas and overall very happy to have found this site (i know im not the only one) 1 week down 3 more weeks to the end of the ketonic state. (is that the right word?)
Thanks
