My new life has begun...with pics!

Good morning! Today is the first day in my new way of eating. I am also planning to head to the gym 3 mornings a week, but that will start next week since we start school again this week and I homeschool my daughter. Thought it would be better to get back into the swing of things before adding something new.


So here's my vital stats on Day One:
Age: 34
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 214.8 as of this morning
Health: overall pretty good. BP is low as always, BS is just fine.

Breakfast:
2 hard boiled eggs
1 mug hot tea w/ stevia

Lunch:
Crappy salad from Cabela's with 2 tbsp ranch as that was all they had...should have had the pulled pork...

Dinner:
Roasted chicken, mainly dark meat
carrots that roasted w/ the chicken
steamed broccoli w/ vinegrette
home canned applesauce w/ no added sugar
salad w/ cukes, tomatoes, beets, walnuts, strawberries and Garlic Expressions dressing...I've got to either find or make a similar substitute since it's really the only thing I eat on my salads

Should I post quantity now or wait to see if I'm not getting results and then tweak it a bit?

I'm on Raw Paleo diet but I have kids to feed on cooked paleo diet.

I'll have to find one! I'm sure with all the Christmas pics that were taken there is at least one of me somewhere!

Save up for a new wardrobe!

I can't wait. I don't buy clothes for myself right now! I hate how I look so it's much more fun to outfit my girls in cute stuff while mom sticks with greys and black.

Day 2

Breakfast:
Cabbage with bacon and carrots
2 scrambled eggs
1 slice bacon
mug of hot tea with stevia

Lunch:
slice of deli turkey
water

Dinner:
Pork Tenderloin w/ balsamic cherry sauce from Everyday Paleo (it was so YUMMY)
Steamed Cauliflower w/ butter
Acorn Squash w/ butter, honey, cinnamon and cloves

Snack:
1 square of 85% dark chocolate
taste of soup I made for tomorrow...I don't know why I never tried to make Italian Wedding soup before, but I'll make it all the time now!!! It was soooooo tasty! I also don't know why I never cooked with kale before, but I'll do that again too!

Day 3!!

Breakfast:
Half of a two-egg omelet with broccoli, ham, salsa and a little cheese
bowl of strawberries
cup of hot tea w/stevia

-I wasn't as hungry as I thought. When I woke up I thought I was, but the longer it took me to get breakfast ready, the less hungry I became. Tomorrow I'll see what it's like if I just drink a cup of tea first.

Lunch:
2 bowls of Paleo Italian Wedding soup
1 small orange
iced tea

Dinner:
Leftover pork
broccoli w/ a red wine vinigrette
Handful of grapes

Day 4

Breakfast:
2 eggs fried in bacon fat
2 slices of bacon
tea

Snack:
carrot slices

Lunch:
Leftover pork and steamed broccoli
1 square 85% dark chocolate
tea

Dinner:
one chicken and apple sausage
cabbage fried w/bacon, onions, carrots
bowl of strawberries w/whipped cream - not the best, but it's what I had on hand

I know that I'm eating fewer calories than I was before, so hopefully btwn that and the increase in exercise I will start to notice a difference. I keep telling myself that it's not an overnight change!

Day 5!

Breakfast:
hot tea
I woke up and I just wasn't hungry! Guess I'll wait till lunch. I'm taking my baby out to Chipolte. It's her favorite place to eat that's not Chinese! She loves the food there. Although I think it's the sour cream. She'll just eat it with a fork if I let her! Silly baby!

Lunch:
Burrito bowl from Chipolte w/ a little rice, pork, pinto beans(I am a southern raised girl, what can I say!), fresh tomato salsa, corn salsa(I won't do that again) a little sour cream and cheese. I'll have to wean myself off what I normally get to work on something new. But yeah for me! I made it through the whole lunch without one chip!

Snack:
handful of raspberries

Dinner:
Tacos in lettuce w/ beef, squash, zuchinni, red onion, green pepper, guac, salsa and a tiny bit of cheese
2 clementines

Day 6

workout before breakfast: 30 Day Shred

Breakfast:
banana

Lunch:
pulled pork w/ tbsp BBQ sauce
bits and pieces out of beef/veg soup

Snack:
1 piece 60% dark chocolate
2 slices cheese w/ 7 super thin slices of hard salami


Cleaned up yard and then took dogs for walk

Dinner:
Share of a porterhouse
steamed green beans
salad of some sort
red wine

My weekend went off the rails, but I am starting fresh today

Breakfast:
egg white omelet w/ broccoli, cheese, salsa
2 strips bacon
bowl of berries (5 strawberries, 1/4 c. raspberries)

Lunch:
1/2 cup wonton soup
1/2 egg roll
1 c. chicken lo-mein
1 dark chocolate peanut cluster
1 fortune cookie

Dinner:
4 turkey/pork meatballs
1/2 c. marinara sauce
steamed broccoli w/ vingrette
