Yes, you could DIE in the next 50 to 60 years. ;D

But dang you'll look good laying there all dressed up!
That's what matters! ;D
This is what I mean, obviously getting 300g of protein a day works but do you think that your body would suffer if you got 100g less?.. You see these guys who apparently get 70g of protein a day getting all big and lean, I just wonder how this even works for them.
How much do they weigh? That's relative to protein intake.

In other news, I ate a lb of beef and 4 huge chicken legs with thighs attached for dinner last night, all cooked in lard. It took a while to eat it and I was absolutely full. The only other option is attempting to do this twice a day, but I don't know if that's very realistic.
You'll figure out what is best for your body and what you can do. You could eat that in 2 separate sittings at night.

Hey guys, been away for quite some time. I went on a journey of sorts after my wife and I split up and I got rid of almost everything I own. I'm down to an efficient vehicle, a guitar, my work equipment and supplies and some functional clothing.. I see my kids daily now, but I've managed to simplify my life immensely over the last several months.. I've cut up all my credit cards and I'm living more or less off the grid with my only payments being to my ex wife (who is still my good friend)..Still eating paleo and have tons of energy. Trying to decide whether to get back to the gym or re-join MMA.

MMA - Fun, builds functional endurance, I've done martial arts for years and it's team oriented and I get motivation from others.
Gym - For me a little bit mind numbing, I like lifting heavy things, it makes me more disciplined for myself and I find I don't need outside motivation.

The deciding factor seems to be time.. MMA  is 4 days a week for two hours but it takes time away from my kids.
The gym, I can go whenever I want and it opens at 5am so it doesn't fuck up my day. Maybe if I can find a lifting regimen that's more interesting, It'd be an easier decision.

Today I drank a smoothie with berries, raw pumpkin seeds, lard and lots of kale. I also ate 3 eggs, 2 large chicken breasts with home made animal fat mayonnaise and a paleo exception of mine: hot sauce.

Tonight I will be eating a big plate of fatty beef cooked in bacon fat on top of a shit ton of spinach cooked in the same fat.

There you go again, giving me a great piece of information. Thanks man, it's good to be back, I think that even if I don't follow that training regime the article's given me some serious motivation.
God damnit that steak I had was ridiculously good. Cooked it in the oven with lard in the cast iron with 5 strips of bacon on top. Huge steak. Soaked up all the rest with some portabello mushrooms.. So full!

Well it seems like a bit of a ghost town in here compared to when I last logged in, not a lot of activity!

Well today I had a good workout with the kids and did lots of rolling, sprinting, lifting, etc.. Still researching the gym and I think it's the only logical choice, so I've been looking into places around town and trying to find one that doesn't feel like I'm in a frigging day spa..

I ate a bunch of eggs today and had a huge green salad for lunch with a dressing made from fat and spices.. As a snack I've had a couple burger patties spiced with fresh basil and cumin and for dinner tonight I'm going to annihilate 6 big chicken thighs that I'll cook in their own juices in the oven.

Wondering if there's a better place to post a journal that is a little less specific than 'food log', just to keep a broad range of topics without feeling irrelevant..

On a frustrating note, the girl I've been seeing shattered her ankle two nights ago and I haven't been able to make the 2 hour drive to go and see her.. I'm generally the type that would've got in the car and sped up there so it's driving me absolutely nuts not being able to do ANYTHING (I can't leave town for another 2 days)... FFFUUUUU...!!!

Good luck on the gym quest. I know how it can be.  ::)

Today is looking up!.. I leave in half an hour to go see the girl, I've hit all my macros perfectly and I've drank my self imposed allowance of water minus 500ml that I'll have before bed..

Today's food:

1 massive smoothie with 1 whole head of romaine lettuce, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries and coconut oil.
Chicken breast, 2 strips of bacon.
5 eggs and 8oz of fatty ground beef.
16oz steak with lots of fat, baked in lard.

I feel like a pig today, since I've done NOTHING to work up a sweat whatsoever.. It's alright, I've been doing lots of reading and putting together a workout plus trying to figure out how the shit I'm going to get 190g of protein a day.. I know, some of you guys are in the 250-350 range and I have no idea how you stuff that much food in. I do remember last time I was going to the gym regularly I did get hungry as hell.. I donno. It's an experiment!

You can do it! I eat 120g. of protein at a meal. It's not that hard.

One trick, eat all your protein first.

It's been a long time since I posted but I'm doing pretty great!.. Going to the gym 3-5 times a week and eating great paleo foods! Still lurking and reading up, not to mention doing a lot of outside research!.. This is the best lifestyle for energy, strength and keeping a clear head.
