Thanks for the suggestions. I think the headache was a side effect of a stupid medication mistake I made, really absentminded mistake. I'm expecting the ketosis one today on top of it :P

We live far from Costco and I have not made it yet but got a short list from a grocery store nearby. Chicken, avocados, pork loin, romaine and anchovies and a few other things.  I'm craving beef, that will have to wait for Costco tomorrow. Bought some Zevia diet soda as a step down. It fills the craving but I don't enjoy it and won't finish one. Diet coke I could drink 10 straight.

I have a half a cow coming very soon. Think it is almost done hanging. Going to try to start 2014 right.

I've been taking some vitamins also. D, magnesium, zinc and calcium combo, C and a B complex. I have a lot of medical issues and always feel malnourished/ bad no matter what I eat. Exercise intolerance is a big one too. I had a physical therapist say I respond like diabetics do. My physical activity had dropped significantly over the last 2 years. I went from working 50 hours a week on my feet to 10. I can walk but not briskly or up stairs. I think I gave up for awhile.

So, first day of 2014. I have appts. with a new ENT who found a few issues and my other doctor. I'm going to stop sitting on my butt so much even if I have to just start with walking and stretching. People with POTS seem to react like I do to exercise so I'm starting with the baby steps they do to build up to exercise. I currently weigh 119 and I'm 5' 3. I don't need to lose weight but do need to build muscle.

Breakfast- Leftover cauliflower casserole Zero

Lunch- Caesar salad with paleo dressing, chicken and bacon. Small square of dark chocolate. Zevia. Cooked the chicken in the bacon grease.

Already cooked the shredded pork for dinner and made paleo coleslaw. Plan on raspberry ice tea (caffeine free)

Tons of shredded pork in fridge plus made paleo mayo. Used half avocado oil and half olive oil and liked the flavor better than the previous batch I had made with only olive oil. 5 bottles of water as of 3pm.

Sleepy,  no headache and not really hungry.

Looks like progress!  You're definitely buying the right groceries.

If you can, ask them to be generous about leaving plenty of fat on the cow when they trim it.  You'll need the fat for energy, since you don't have a lot of stores on your body.

Breakfast- Rest of cauliflower casserole with some extra cheese and Herdez salsa on top. 1 Zevia.

Could not stay awake. Fell back asleep and crashed hard. 5 hours. Hard, hard sleep. I don't sleep well so it was a little disturbing.

Not hungry but had a hard boiled egg for lunch. Lots of water. 2 Zevias through the day but did not finish either.

4:30 now, food does not sound good. Drinking a La Croix and planning on getting a lot more water down.

ETA- Dinner- Made a few lettuce wraps with shredded pork that I crisped up in coconut oil. Had it with avocado and a little onion and tomato. Lots of water.

Checked the scale just for record keeping at I'm at 116. My arms and legs are very thin but I do have belly fat so I would be just fine if that ended up used for fuel :)

I do not hold on to water well even without low carb, think that contributes to my lower blood pressure. Always thirsty. Should I just keep trying to flush things out or switch to chicken broth. I do add Himalayan salt to everything but I was already doing that.

Pretty weak today but really not in the mood to eat.

Woke up with headache and tried to drink coffee. Couldn't do it. Had a Zevia and took my medicine including pain relievers. Probably only reason I was able to get up. Had 2 waters. I'm prone to headaches, don't think it was the caffeine related.

Costco trip and dropping daughter off at work. Ordered 2 sides of bacon at Wendy's. Ate half. Brought a Zevia with me but gave up and bought a Zero.

Big Costco trip so house is full of food but not hungry, quite dizzy. Had 1/2 cup of pecans, 4 cups of Kirkland Organic Chicken broth and 4 water bottles.

Blah, gonna go sit in a hot bath before I brave the cold to go back and pick up my daughter.

Hmmmmm... trying to think of something positive. I didn't really enjoy the Zero so that's getting easier.

Are you getting enough salt?  I just ask because of the dizziness; that often means low blood pressure.

I've gotten headaches from caffeine withdrawal.

Two sides of bacon - yum!

My daughter bought dinner last night. I ate the low carb part, the buffalo wings dipped in most unpaleo but low carb ranch.

Caved and ate a bite of her buffalo chips with cheese (potato) and 2 small pieces of my lil ones pirate booty.

Looking for the positive- it was at least gluten free and I stopped instead of a full binge. But then ate a small apple. Don't believe fruit is a good idea until my cravings are better.

Today.
Weighed myself at 114.8
Breakfast- A heavily salted hard boiled egg and few pecans. Meat seemed a turn off but I have so much pork leftover I think maybe a good soup might be the right idea for lunch.

What I really want is a baked potato. Damn potatoes. But I know I won't stop. Last time I ate one, I ate 3, smothered in butter and sour cream followed by 2 massive servings of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Mmmmmmm......

Now I need to wipe drool off my keyboard.

Made soup for lunch. Instantly bloated up and do nut feel well. Only questionable thing I can think off is when I originally cooked the pork, I used some wine in it without thinking. Maybe the cabbage?

Soup had pork, organic kirkland chicken broth, organic diced tomatoes and a small amount of organic tomato paste, green beans, onions, garlic, carrots (for my son), cabbage, green pepper, seasonings and a little red hot. Mostly drank the broth as even though it did smell good, I wasn't very hungry.

Sunday evening was bad. Since then was all Paleo but not enough. Feeling under the weather.
Today has been just broth from the pork vegetable stew. Trying to come up with something that sounds good as my weight is as low as I am comfortable with at 113.
My 1/2 cow was supposed to be here already. Think that will help. I would go buy a steak or something if it wasn't -6 outside and quite a trek to the store.

Sunday probably set me back and they extended my antibiotics a week so just trying to ride it out. Only currently working 2 days a week/short shifts or I would be in trouble.

Darn it, next week I better have more positive posts.

I just realized - if you don't need to lose weight, which it seems you don't, there's no need to go ultra low carb.  Go ahead and get some fruit if you'd like - apples, oranges - and consider taking a vitamin C pill with each fruit since modern fruit are lower in vitamin C than wild fruit.

Even if you end up binging on the fruit, a fruit binge isn't particularly damaging when you're not trying to get into or stay in ketosis.

I was trying to start off lower carb to break my cravings and to control reactive hypoglycemia but I will definitely let up on that a bit. I think I feel better lower carb but it can be hard to balance getting enough to eat. Since I don't feel great right now, I think a little fruit would be a good idea.

Little better today. Had some fruit last night.

Today:

Breakfast: Smoothie with strawberry, banana, few cherries, coconut milk ice and a pasturized raw egg. Little water to thin it out. Still had 2 Zeros. Lots of water

Lunch- Worked today, ate some sauteed green pepper, onions, and mushrooms. Would usually have a slice of the beef souvlaki but we were low on it at work.

Snack after work: Few slice of turkey roll ups with cream cheese. Lots of water.

Going on 7 and not hungry but tomorrow is a big cooking day so will probably make up for it tomorrow.

No cravings today and not hungry. Not a bad day. Little bloated.

Cannot sleep. Up since 1 am. Starving by 2:30.

Breakfast-  Cauliflower pancakes cooked in bacon fat and coconut oil with runny eggs that were cooked in ghee. Should have put some color on the plate. La Croix water. Really wanted a base for my eggs, think I will keep looking.

Lunch- Prepared for TV time with my daughter this time. Made a ton and ate a ton. Made sausage stuffed mushroom , fajita chicken and shrimp in lettuce wraps, spicy garlic green beans, a fresh green sauce and served with avocado and tomato. Had a strawberry-cherry smoothie for dessert. Chicken was a little disappointing but the rest was good.

Dinner- Another small cauliflower pancake with a runny egg on top. Spicy green beans
Cravings

Tried to add pics but didn't work.

Sounds pretty good.
