Thank you very much Steelerbred  ;D,

I'm working on getting truly ripped in the next couple of months, and the Paleolithic diet is really helping with keeping myself lean, yet crazy strong. I'm going to post another Progress Report Photograph tomorrow morning to keep everyone posted on my body transformation, haha...

To Maggie:

I have so much to explain to you; it's ridiculous. I've had a lot of experience with Ketosis and know how it works and how to regulate it quite well, but I do not have time at the moment to explain everything. I'll respond in detail later tonight when I get off of work and you will feel much more comfortable with the diet. The one thing that I quickly realized when I initially had doubts about the Paleolithic diet is that it is always comforting and helpful to talk with someone who has A LOT of objective experience with the diet. I've been on it for over fifteen months, so I can tell you everything you should be expecting the next few weeks/months. I'll talk to you more later tonight.

I don't see how you can get more ripped but we are often harder on ourselves than others.

Keep up the good work!  :)

Thank you so much! Yes, I do wish I could talk to someone about it, but I don't know anyone in person who has even heard of Paleo. I'll be looking forward to your message then :)

     Progress Report Photograph:

Not too much has changed here... I had a few good workouts last week, but I keep taking these 5-7 day breaks away from the gym! Anyways, I need to find a rhythm soon to get my exercise and Paleolithic consumption back to a strong, consistent basis.

    Lunch Today:

Roasted Lamb (Rosemary, Salt, Pepper) and an incredible pickled cucumber and onion salad

*I am going to post the recipe for the pickled cucumber salad soon (it's just too good not to share).

Well, I haven't stuck to the Paleolithic diet the past couple of days (both partying and friends have pushed me away from my good habits). However, I have managed to maintain a solid workout regiment every other day for the past couple of weeks.

Last Saturday, I tried a workout called "FRAN" (but with 50 lbs less than the standard FRAN workout). It was a blast, yet quite difficult, and it left me gasping for air for about ten minutes.

Anyways, I am going to try to get back into the Paleolithic diet while maintaining my consistent workout regiment. My physicality is starting to take it's toll from poor diet and too much partying.

I look forward to providing a positive report in the near future,

It's always difficult to maintain this way-of-eating November through March. I try to stay 100% Monday through Friday and 70% Friday night through Sunday night. At least, you are still here.

Indeed DTSMA,

Good to hear from you buddy, it's been a while since we had a conversation. I've been maintaining a strong Paleolithic diet during most of this week (except for one Indian meal with a little white rice). However, every other meal (including all of my lunches for quite some time) has adhered to the diet.

Meanwhile, I've been beasting my workouts lately, and I know that's all I've really been talking about lately, but I've made great strides in weight lifting. From hang cleans to front/back squats to thrusters to weighted dips and pull-ups, my good friend and I have been on a roll lately (I'm starting to get ripped).

Tomorrow, I am going to Costco to buy a bunch of raw Littleneck clams to eat with my mother for her birthday. Not only are these clams quite cheap (about 100 of them for $14), but they are fresh and delicious. I am really looking forward to this raw seafood feast tomorrow.

I will continue to keep everyone posted, and once again, thank you for your comments,

    Physical Progress Report:

I am really starting to make physical progress with my workouts and my diet. I am now eating healthy and working out a significant amount (3-4 workouts a week). Today, I have already done my second chest workout this week, and tomorrow I am going to tear up another solid back workout with thrusters, weighted pull-ups, and much more. I will keep on working out while adding some healthy carbohydrates to my diet during these winter months. Also, my dad made an incredible Paleolithic rabbit dish that I ate for lunch. It was absolutely fantastic, and I will post that recipe in the near future (it is definitely another winner in my book).

Well, well, happy new year to everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful and healthy holiday season! Anyways, on New Year's day, I grilled out with a bunch of friends and made the following:

Fresh Jalapenos stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon, a grilled salad (all sorts of grilled vegetables) with a bacon-grease vinaigrette, two thinly sliced medium-rare steaks, and steak/bell pepper/onion skewers.

Mexican Casserole (I eat cheese all the time, even though it's not Paleo-acceptable):

This casserole is a traditional, low-carb dish that me and my friends make while watching NFL games. It contains ground beef (seasoned with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and initially fully-cooked in a skillet prior to the oven) with diced jalapenos, Paleo-salsa (all natural), cream cheese (1g of sugar per serving, but not Paleo-acceptable), guacamole, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced fresh jalapenos on top. After baking this casserole at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, it becomes the most incredible, low-carb, easy dinner that is extremely filling.

    Today's Workout:

This is a strength circuit that I did a few times in September and October of 2010, and I decided to try it again today (to see my physical improvement over the past year and a half). The goal is to get through this workout as fast as possible with perfect form. The workout goes as follows:

                 15 Frog Hops, 25 Clap-Ups, 6 Pull-Ups
                 13 Frog Hops, 20 Clap-Ups, 5 Pull-Ups
                 11 Frog Hops, 18 Clap-Ups, 4 Pull-Ups

Last time I completed this workout was in October of 2010, and my record time was 10 minutes 31 seconds. Well today, I crushed the workout (with perfect form) in 5 minutes and 16 seconds! I cut my time in half, and I didn't throw up from the intensity (like I have previously done)! I'm quite impressed with my physical progress, and I am going to begin adding more and more strength circuits to my workouts, for they are an incredibly productive form of exercise.

Today's Lunch (Philly Cheesesteak [Paleolithic except for the cheese]):

A bunch of thinly sliced strips of beef (seasoned with cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder), chopped onions, jalapenos, and one orange habanero, melted Colby-Jack cheese, and Franks Hot Sauce.

                Quite a solid day,

                                  Zensenji

I've been working out anywhere from 3-5 times per week, and I'm starting to see some serious results. Despite my partying habits, I am continuing to bulk up and outperform myself each week, and I am making a small effort to incorporate more strength circuits in my workout regiment. The reason why I want to do more strength circuits, as oppose to just casual, heavy lifting is simple. I want to be extremely toned and I also need a strong source of cardiovascular exercise. Also, in the near future, I will post another physical progress photograph to show you all my overall increase/gain in muscle.

            Tonight's Dinner:

Two white-Cheddar cheeseburgers with two sunny-side-up eggs, two strips of bacon, sauteed onion rings, avocados, and tomatoes spiced with black salt, black pepper and French's mustard all on a bed of Iceberg lettuce with a lemon-vinaigrette (everything is Paleo-acceptable except for the white-Cheddar cheese).
