Hello from NC
« on: February 11, 2007, 07:24:12 AM »
Hi all, I have just seriously started the Paleo Diet last week, but I have known about it and read about it for years. I'm very glad to have found this forum, as my previous attempts at sticking to a change in life have failed in the past - I attribute this in part to not really having anyone that understood or took the time to understand to talk to. It's hard to make a lifelong change solo.

My interest in the Paleo Diet stems from my observation (and belief) that science, and evolutionary theory in particular, can help us get back to our more natural selves and lead lives that are more balanced, simple and healthful.

My real name is David and I live int central NC. I hope to meet other Paleo enthusiasts out there to share experiences, recipes, support, etc. I have a lot of nutritional knowledge, but I do not have a lot of experience with staying on a particular diet as a way of life - that, to me, seems to be the hardest part.

Glad to be here!

Hello David and welcome!  We will keen to pick your brain on whatever nutritional knowledge you want to share.  The best way I know to stick to this WOE is to take it one day at a time, don't beat yourself up too much when you fall off the wagon (all of us do now and again and me more than most probably!  :) ) and try new recipes and foods, rather than getting in a rut.  There are lots of great suggestions on this site for meals, and great people to offer encouragement.
