Hi everyone. My son told me about Primal Blueprint around Thanksgiving and I started Crossfit in December.
I've realized for years that I eat too much, especially bread, rice, pasta and cereal. I also have suffered from getting desperately hungry every four hours or so, and if I didn't eat in time I would feel physically ill. And despite all the exercise I do, if I wasn't running 20+ miles a week I gained weight.
So when I read about Paleo, it was an "ah ha" moment.
I've been off sugar for years and already eat tons of vegetables and fruits. So my focus has been on not eating the simple carbs and getting enough healthy fats.
I already have experienced an improvement in mood throughout the day and the intense hunger and carb carvings disappeared immediately. So that's good!
I'm looking forward to making this way of eating a long term approach to nutrition and seeing the benefits over the next months and years.
