Been lurking around here and doing some reading here and various websites for info. I'm 42, and weigh 232 at the moment. Ive been struggling with various diet ideas and Paleo just seems to make the most sense. I already know most all processed carbs and sugars are NO good. Dairy seems to be the same, I'm ready to learn more about that.
So starting today I'm cutting it all out, just going with fresh natural foods. I'm also starting a bodyweight and crossfit style workout as well. I plan to document my progress with pics. My goal is to get into awesome shape and eventually open my own fitness business based on a simple diet and simple fitness routines with minimal equipment. If a husband full time job and with kids and do it, anyone can!
A good friend of mine has turned me onto the Paleo diet and has also introduced me to the various mud runs and adventure racing. My first mud run is scheduled for June 13th.

I believe knowledge is power, so what are the best books and cook books on the subject? Any websites you recommend?
