My name is Justin and here is my story.
I’m in my mid 30s and the activities I enjoy doing are getting harder to do. I have been suffering with back pain for about 14 years now and it had been progressively getting worse then last year I had enough. I quit working for about 8 months and did pretty much nothing hoping my to give my back time to heal up. Well that didn’t work it still hurt and I gained about 30lbs. So finally I went to the DR and got in a physical therapy program. I also decided at this time I need to lose my extra weight and get my muscles I lost back and possibly even more strength.
I had looked into paleo years ago a few different times when I would get on health kicks but never committed to it because I didn’t see the benefits vs my normal eating habits. Quality meats, wild game, fresh fish, vegetables etc. and didn’t want to give up beans, bread, etc.
The only thing I am clinging on to right now is cheese, yes I know it’s not paleo recommended but I plan to do a whole 30 in the future after my body adjusts to the lack of carbs and sugars. I will probably add dairy back into my diet after that because I don’t think I have any lactose problems. We will see.
I have been paleo now for about 2 weeks and have lost about 6 lbs.
