Hi there from Columbia SC
« on: February 01, 2012, 09:39:49 AM »
Hi everyone. I'm Jake. 29yo soldier who is ready to change my life! Married with 2 kids and a 3rd on the way. Been in army for last 10 years. Was in ok shape for most of it but two acl rebuilds inthe last 3 years along with poor eating and other bad habits(tobacco) have brought me to a place I don't want to be. I've done crossfit before so but never tried paleo. I'm excited about the impending results. Not sure what to expect but it's deffienetly got to better then where I'm at now. I'm starting 100% paleo, kicking the tobacco and full-timing it with crossfit. Wish me luck.

Welcome.  Just stick to fresh meat, fruit, and green vegetables, avoiding the grains, legumes, tubers, and dairy, and you won't need luck.  Don't be afraid to eat full fat meat.

Meet your new friend, his name is "Fat",  actually "Animal Fat".  Paleo changes your fuel from carbs to fat and the good fat to burn is animal fat...  The other good thing is that the fattier cuts of meat are usually cheaper.  Grass fed if possible but if not, just good ole meat is way better than carby grains....
No expectations, no disappointments!
