Free images...?
« on: February 18, 2015, 03:49:17 PM »
Hi guys, I am creating some graphics for our local 10km charity run, and need a bit of help.. Since its a charity run thing, I don't really have a budget and thats why I am looking for free/cheap stock images to use on the banners. They would have to be completely copyright free so that we dont get into any trouble. Most images I have myself are too small, the graphics are going to be quite massive, a meters high at least.

Any tips very welcome!

Thanks Warren! I can't believe I was not aware of this site, what a great source. I was looking at freeimages.com but the selection is not very good, probably because its free. But lots of great stuff on wikimedia commons.

Some of the images seem to have no copyright whatsoever: "I grant anyone the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law." http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Runner-animated-svg.svg Does that mean that I don't even have to mention the creator anywhere? I just need to be sure, the printing place (http://print24.com/uk/product/walls/) asked me to double check everything regarding copyright.
