Body Fat example pictures
« on: May 13, 2010, 03:21:12 PM »
I came across this site which has example BF pictures for some milestones. Pretty useful to me.

My scale says I'm at 20.2 this morning:

But I'm obviously less. Closer, actually to the 14% picture here:

Weird. But I guess the scales aren't to be trusted.. I think I will take some skinfold measurements tonight or tomorrow...

I'm somewhere in between the 14% and the 20% pics.  I'm still on the high end if you buy into the whole BMI thing.  I'm healthy and happy and I'm sure that's all that counts.

Hey nice post, helpful reference. +1

I found this kind of funny:

According to the site they both have ~10% bf, but the guy on the left has 15 more lbs of muscle. Have you heard guys say they gained 15 lbs of lean mass in two months? 15 lbs my ass.
Right Now.

Looking at these, I must be between 20 and 14 but I think I am more around 24 in real fact.  I ordered a BF indicator device and will see what it says.  I'll let you know.  Maybe I'll post a picture of me and you guys can try to guess my outcome.
No expectations, no disappointments!

I think the guy on the left might also be shorter, so he'd look more heavily muscled even with the same muscle weight.  Still, that wouldn't account for all the difference.

Of the two pictures of women on that page at 15%, I think I prefer the one with less muscle, though something intermediate between the two picture might be best.

7% body fat, or in some body building competition examples 4% body fat, is unhealthy.  Yeah, it might be the epitome of body sculpting, but it's just not right to do that to your body.  The guy at 14% is probably the healthiest of the bunch even if he doesn't have the ripped abs on the 20% dude.

As far as the pictures of the women, the muscle pics are unappealing to me.  The paper thin skin is just looks odd on a woman.  I like my women with like I like my shakes (if I drank them), thick and smooth.

The woman at 11% Body Fat has breasts implants. There is no way that could be natural.
Change requires you to scream, I'M NOT GONNA TAKE ANY MORE!...and then you don't.
