Can't believe it! Love the results!
« on: May 16, 2007, 07:18:40 PM »
I've been on about 95% Paleo diet since March, and I just can't get over how much better I feel.  And the weight loss - 15.5 pounds so far, and I'm NOT hungry!  This is the first time I've been able to lose weight consistently for years, and I am so motivated by the results so far, and how much better I feel!  Less fatigue, better sleep, far fewer instances of IBS symptoms, fewer blood sugar/energy swings.  I just wish I had learned about this WOE years ago!

Same here, Linda.  In fact, I wish that my parents had known about the paleo diet concept when I was growing up, and that they had taught me this way of eating from when I was little.  Imagine how healthy most people would be if they ate the paleo way from birth!

About a year ago, I first started following the paleo diet, and I immediately (within a week) started to feel better, less bloated, etc..  I did well for a few months.  But I let old habits creep in, having more and more junk foods, and by the Winter, I was off of paleo eating entirely.   :-[   I started back on the paleo diet (as well as jogging 3 or 4 times a week) not quite two weeks ago (Monday, June 4), and again, I feel 100% better, the bloating has gone down, I've had to draw my belt in two notches to keep my pants up, I'm not getting the headaches I had been previously, and I have a lot of energy..

This time, I will resolve to not let my old habits undo the gains I accrue by following the paleo lifestyle.  I'll have a non-paleo meal occasionally, but not more than one in about 20 paleo meals.  I only have to remind myself how crappy I felt when I let the junk foods take over, to keep me motivated.
