Bottom line - don't change yourself for someone you're dating.  If they don't like the person you are now, then what's the point?

+1

This is among the best advice ever posted here and it goes far beyond what to eat for dinner.  Too bad I can't give +10.

True, true, CCG and Paleo Dude. I never even considered changing what I'm doing for someone I'm dating - partially because I'm not looking for anything too serious right now, but even if I were, I would still eat how I want to eat.

Hard enough to find someone compatible in other areas such as religion or smoking or drunks let alone diet! Eeeegads, I'll likely be single forever. But then living forever is not such a bad thing.
Working on my Gimbal angles; I have roll, pitch and yaw. I might need a fourth. Single woman open to meeting good man! In my experience, most men love a girl who is happy to chow down on a big, red, meaty steak.
This.
Personally I have great respect for any chick willing to down a 400g steak or rack of ribs, this is pre and post paleo too, it's not an opinion I've gained after getting into paleo.

At the end of the day do you really want to date anyone that's going to look down on you based on what you eat? Especially if that diet keeps you looking and feeling great.

I have observed this too CCG!

I take it many in Eugene smoke and get drunk and partake in religion?

Yes, but how many men are turned on by the idea of a cavewoman?

Perhaps I am over-thinking this...do men really care what women eat? From what I can see of my fellow 20-somethings, maybe not.

Nope, not really.

University of Oregon.  I just equate college towns with young adults eating granola with soy milk.

exactly. 20-something males don't care what you eat especially within the first few dates; they're trying to win you over.. at least their suppose to. besides, you'll probably just naturally describe your paleo lifestyle in conversation and that's adequate explanation/justification.

if you're really concerned, especially within the first two dates, just eat your bloody steak before you go out and then order a salad at dinner. ;)  i've had to do that when i dated vegetarians.. but those didn't last too long.

Hmm, off to confirm this hypothesis with experimentation this Friday :)

This. Except it's University of Waterloo, and my date on Friday is with a "vegetarian who occasionally cheats with bacon".

Don't ask me why; we were set up by mutual, overzealous friends.
