Happy Holidays
« on: December 23, 2006, 12:37:08 PM »
I hope all you have a safe and fun Holiday season.  I'm planning on going home for a week to visit family in the Philadelphia area.  What are you all up to?

We are spending Christmas at home and then going off to Purakaunui Bay to our "shack" on the beach.  I'll attach a picture so you all can see how luxurious it is!   :) It is summer here in the good old south of the South Island, which means we might have some days up in the 70's if we are lucky.  Today it was 55 and drizzly though.  The shack has no electricity, running water, toilet or mobile phone service.  But I love it there!  So peaceful, and no interruptions.  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season.  Suze

Visiting the 'rents and the in-laws in NJ!  Hopefully my dad is cooking a goose this year (like he did last year) and is saving the fat for me like I asked him to.  :)

Hope everyone else is having a lovely season so far.

What are you going to do with the goose fat, Kallyn?

Well unfortunately my dad didn't order the goose in time, so we had roast beef instead.

If I had gotten the goose fat I just would've used it for general cooking.  It's supposed to be quite delicious and is one of the fats of choice for French cooking (if the French like it, it must be good ;)).
