Healthy Woman Shocked by Heart Attack, Twice

Quote

Steiger, 45, had always been the picture of health, until Nov. 8, 2003 when that changed for the mother of two from Brecksville, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.

"Four days after my 39th birthday I had a heart attack, which was quite surprising because prior to that I was in the best shape of my life," Steiger said. "I was exercising every day, running five miles a day, I was a lifetime Weight Watchers member, really focused on eating right and eating healthy."

Perhaps she was eating the USDA definition of healthy eating.

Lots of "healthy" whole grains, no doubt.

The exercise might have helped her avoid dying from the heart attacks, though.

The sad part is that as none of these guidelines are being changed or even open to discussion about change, these headlines are going to become so common they no longer rate a headline.
The answer to your question is 'eat more fat'.

Stop counting calories. If you are eating Paleo, there is usually no need.

If you are having weight loss issues, it'd be a good idea to start posting a detailed food journal, then everyone can help.

'Anecdotal Evidence' is an oxymoron.

6 minute mile + 5 miles = 30 minutes of running
Change requires you to scream, I'M NOT GONNA TAKE ANY MORE!...and then you don't.

I ran 5 minute miles in high school.  At age 50 it was more like 40 minutes of running.
