Hi,  I was friends with some of you on Facebook.  I've had some weird problems the past couple of weeks.  I have deactivated my account.  I will probably be back in about a week.


Some of the problems:

Someone used an old rarely used e-mail address to make a fake FB account with my name.

Someone also made a MySpace account with my name and profile picture from FB

I took a web design class in 2005. The instructor used some of my work as examples for students.  The examples contained my e-mail address and one had a photo.   
Someone hacked that old e-mail account. Since it was rarely used I didn't have much of a password.  They used that e-mail address to setup the fake accounts.

I deleted mine too a month or two ago, and I'm glad I did. No more time worrying about who is posting on my wall or who sent me a friend request
