No, not eating kidney, although I am not sure I would be against it, but that is not hte point of this post.
I have a co-worker that has been considering switching to a paleo lifestyle. She has previously had bariatric surgery, about 12 years ago, and is still obese. I have planted the seed in her and she is finally starting to think it might be good for her too. She mentioned today that when she saw me leaving work yesterday she didn't recognize me (woot!)
Anyway, she recen;ty has had some poor lab values for various things and her doctor had her get s kidney ultrasound which revealed that one kidney is different from teh other. Of course this could be a normal anamoly, or it could be a disease process. She is concerned that if she does have kidney disease they will tell her to limit her protein intake, which of course could be a problem if you want to be paleo.
So, is there anyone that knows, or has any information on this? I guess she could do a limited protein and focus on veggies and fruit with less meat, but then she might be hungry.
