Need help!
« on: March 14, 2016, 02:42:39 AM »
Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to the paleo diet, I am on it because I get very sick otherwise, but I am alone in it. My boyfriend is the complete opposite to me and feasts on junk food and soft drink 24/7. When I am at his family's house there is nothing that I can eat. So because I can't find a way to be paleo there, I end up eating badly and making myself sick.
Does anyone have any suggestions what I should do? Any tactics I could use to show my boyfriend what and why I need to eat?
And tips and tricks about having easy to assemble meals/snacks somewhere I dont live? (Their kitchen is also under major construction so they have little to no cupboard space).
Thanks in advance!

Hi there, unfortunately a lot of us carry food or at least water everywhere we go.  I *always* have water on me - our whole large family does, kids and all.  We have our own steel water bottles.

Water helps keep you hungry.  Nothing wrong with a little impromptu intermittent fasting at his house.  I know what you mean though - nothing but cereal, pasta, bread.....

I've found that a bag of walnuts can keep me going.  If they fix anything with meat, just eat the meat and leave the rest, explaining that you have food sensitivities that prevent you from eating bread and such.
