I am making arrangements for my first trek to the USA since becoming a hunter-gatherer and I was wondering if anyone else has flown internationally?  United Airlines offers a dizzying choice of special meals, including vegetarian, vegan, kosher, low salt, low fat... well you get the picture.  I don't know which one would be the most likely to have a majority of things I might be able to eat, or if I would be better just sticking with the standard menu and not eating the bread roll, potato, cheese etc.  Anybody have any experience with this?  Suze

Are you allowed to bring food on the plane?  That might be safer.

If that is not an option, I think I would probably order a kosher meal.  There is bound to be meat in it, and if there is meat there will be no dairy so you won't have to worry about that at all.
