Our son Bob is a 28 year old librarian (It's in the DNA because we're both librarians). He lives by himself in Flushing, Queens in a 1 bedroom apartment, next to a really good Italian grocery. His initial reaction last year to us going paleo was that we'd dropped off the moon. Then, we let him gently know that I have gone from a size 44 pants to a 40. One more, and I'll be able to swap pants with him. Over the year, when he visited us on weekends (it happens a lot), we served him paleo food exclusively. He thought that spaghetti squash was a totally reasonable substitute for pasta. As he sees me shrink, he gets more and more guilty about the pizza and pancakes that he puts away, and is on a clear path to cutting down on breads of all kinds. At this rate, we'll have him on board in about a year.
