Someone in this forum once asked about Ray Audette, the author of Neanderthin. He hasn't written anything in about 15 years and some people speculated he dropped dead from his diet.  Ray hasn't gone into full marketing mode like Robb Wolf or Mark Sisson. Ray was a computer tech before he quit his job to write Neanderthin.   Ray turned 64 yesterday. Here is his 64th birthday selfie.

Hi Steve,  I live near San Diego. Welcome.  Tell your mayor that is not appropriate version of paleo dating. 

I've been battling this for 20+ years.  Paleo has helped some. But it turns out I am better off with no lunch or a very light lunch. By light lunch I mean a handful of almonds and a small apple or tangerine, or half an orange. Sometimes a small salad.

Instead of the almonds or maybe walnuts I might have about 3 oz of some type of meat. Lately when people ask me to go out for lunch I just say I don't eat lunch.

Since coconut oil is semi-solid below 75F (24C) you have to let it melt in your mouth.

I asked here a while back if the war against salt was like the war against fat.  Most people feel paleo was naturally lower in salt. But, perhaps not.   Cave people in the pale era could of sought natural source of salt. 

Also anyone own horses?  Horses are vegans (usually non primate vegas are called herbivores). However, many people I l know in this area (I live in rural 'horse country') put a 'salt lick' in their horse corral to supplement the horse's salt and mineral intake.

One method that indigenous peoples used for hunting was to watch natural salt licks for wild game to show up.
