Recipes and meal photos / Liver disaster

I started craving liver again.  Like always just

before my time of month.  So I decided to cook

some. :-X

It usually taste great and doesn't look that bad.

But this time I decided that I knew the recipee

and I didn't need to get the recipe book. :o

I usually cook it with nuts and raisins and some

wine among others stuff.  It taste sweet and has

some crunchy nuts.  I enjoy eating it with eggs.

Adding to the not following the recipee; I also bought

some cooking wine which I have never tasted

before and didn't taste before pouring it into the


I decided to take a sip of it when the liver

was almost done.  It really tasted like sweat.  So

I cooked my liver in sweat tasting wine.

I did something else but I don't know what ???

Because sadly my liver looks disgusting.  So now

it taste bad, smells funky and it looks like it

shouldn't be eaten. :-\

What is worst I did the whole liver so I have like 5

more serving in the fridge.

I didn't want you to see the gruesome sight I saw,

so I didn't include the picture.

Workout Journals / Last night at the gym...

 Last nightn I went to the gym and did:

               -Did 500 meters of intense rowing.

                   -Did squats with weight. 

I think I might have done them incorrectly because
I put the bar with weight in my shoulder neck area
and my neck doesn't feel quite right.  Its the first
time I do squats with weights.  Next time I'll try to
do the squat differently.

                   -Some bench press

Just the 45pound bar was heavvy enough for me. For
 this time though. 

                   -Worked the core by doing some excersice
                         which I dont know what is called.

You put a weight lifting bar on a corner and swing it up to
your side and then down.  You do this on both sides.  Well
whenever I figure whats it called I modifiy this entry.

Anyway don't feel sore yet. Other than my neck I feel good.
I guees I'll have to go more intense next time and watch out
for my neck.  WOuldn't want to injure myself.

Well its Sunday and its raining and I am still

very sore on my upper body from male pushups.

I will do excersice tomorrow.  Rain or shine.  As

for today enjoying the weekend.

Food highlight of the day was a very good

salmon I had. Delicious. 

Well tomorrow I'll have a real entry

with a workout included  :P.

Thanks for the reply Refit,

    As the matter of fact I am iron deficient.  In my hectic weeks

I sometimes forget about it.  SO I don't get the necessary amount

of iron I need. I am trying to get better at that ;D . A couple of 

months ago I started adding liver to my diet.  I sometimes have a

craving for it and I actually like the taste of it very much.   The

secret is to cook it with wine, raisins and nuts.  It turns out to be

very sweet actually.

    I started cutting all of rice, beans, cereal, bread.  Its very hard

I feel better as the days pass.  Now I really don't crave it that much.

My meat intake is increasing noticeably. This website is getting me

really into it.  You feel encouraged to continue in this WOE.

 Yesterday I was very tired and I slept very good. I woke up

rested. Today I feel my rotator cuff muscles and my pectoralis

major a bit tender and sore. Other than that and some soreness

in my gluteal area I feel GREAT  ;D .  Looking foward doing some

other excersice routine Sunday.

Today I:

           Jogged 5 min.

           Sprinted 5 times (15 second sprints)

           Did 10 pushups between sprints (5 female and 5 male pushups)

          Cool down and streched. :P

       Not a lot but its still something. ;D

My paleo boyfriend encouraged me to give it all in the sprints.  I noticed

that even though I gave it all I was still slow.  I guess with time I'll get faster  ;)

Isn't potassium bicarbonate one of the main components in fire extinguishers powder or something? :o :o

I use to take multivitamins "one a day for women" daily for a while.

Now I that I am eating better and I try get them from real food.

I still think I need at least one once a week. Or do I? ???

Hi Cave woman here!
          I am fairly new to this.  I was introduced to this WOE through my boyfriend.

Now I am in the process of learning more about it and making my diet more strict.

I grew up in a Hispanic island; eating rice, beans and meat daily. Also cereal, sandwiches

and a lot of dairy product.  So its been very hard to break away from my eating habits.

I am in my early 20s, very slim and always low on energy.  I did notice an increase of energy

with this diet even though I haven't gone all the way with the diet. Since I can't part from

milk.  I guess I find it comforting in a way.

Did I mention I get hungry every 2 hours.  I eat a lot and yet I get so hungry.  If I skip a

meal I get cranky and can not concentrate, if i skip a meal daily then I feel weak.  :-\

I read daily the post and go to the links.  Theres a lot of useful info on this website. 

I especially like the links to excersice routines and recipes  :P

Thanks to all the people who contribute to this website.  I hope more Paleo females join
