Way back when I was ROTC I did buds warning order. You can google it. That will get anyone in shape without weights. I have also done P90x but itís nice if you have resistance bands and dumbbells for that but not required.

Edit just noticed this thread was so old, Iím leaving comment for future people looking for this information.

Diet and nutrition / Re: Why is my breakfast boring?

Yummly has tons of recipes and ideas for paleo breakfast that has helped me keep changing it up. Iím one of those people that canít eat the same thing more than 3-4 times a month without it making me sick to think about it so I trick myself by cooking the same things differently. The breakfast bites are a fun and enjoyable way to cook bacon and eggs.

Iím new here so donít mind me much but I live in an area where large number of native artifacts are found that date 3 to 6 thousand years old and they defiantly ground flour. From my other studies paleo people have been making flour for over 30,000 years. Iím no paleontologist or paleo diet expert so donít quote me on that.

3 to 6 thousand years ago is well into the neolithic in most places, so it isn't paleo.  Also, carrying around large stones for grinding seems
unlikely for hunter gatherers.

You may be right I know the natives in this area werenít nomadic but many stones they find arenít native to this area so some packed a bunch of stones around.

Correct me if Iím wrong though because I was watching some paleo experts speaking in a conference type setting and Iím under the impression that paleo is kind of just a name and that eating a true Paleolithic diet would be nearly impossible.

Introductions / Hello primitive peeps
« on: February 17, 2018, 07:42:37 PM »
My name is Justin and here is my story.

Iím in my mid 30s and the activities I enjoy doing are getting harder to do. I have been suffering with back pain for about 14 years now and it had been progressively getting worse then last year I had enough. I quit working for about 8 months and did pretty much nothing hoping my to give my back time to heal up. Well that didnít work it still hurt and I gained about 30lbs. So finally I went to the DR and got in a physical therapy program. I also decided at this time I need to lose my extra weight and get my muscles I lost back and possibly even more strength.

I had looked into paleo years ago a few different times when I would get on health kicks but never committed to it because I didnít see the benefits vs my normal eating habits. Quality meats, wild game, fresh fish, vegetables etc. and didnít want to give up beans, bread, etc.

The only thing I am clinging on to right now is cheese, yes I know itís not paleo recommended but I plan to do a whole 30 in the future after my body adjusts to the lack of carbs and sugars. I will probably add dairy back into my diet after that because I donít think I have any lactose problems. We will see.

I have been paleo now for about 2 weeks and have lost about 6 lbs.

I am looking to sharing my progress and reading others stories and learning from you guys here. Thanks for having me.
