Mmm I love deviled eggs too.  Sometimes I put chopped jalapeņos in them.

Chocolate Avocado pudding

2 avocados
1 banana
10ml vanilla extract
150g cocoa powder
120ml maple syrup

Place all ingredients into a food processor, blend until smooth and pipe into glasses.

It's super dense and super chocolaty, so I think the above recipe would serve about 10 people.  You can cut it in half though.  The avocado doesn't really shine here.  It's more of a texture.

You eat the roast beef and let him have the nasty old bread.  When he sees how good you look and feel, he'll come around.  Welcome to the cave! ;D

Where did you get them?

You can get them from iHerb too.  Check the link up by the search bar.

On the paleo hacks forum there is a thread about pre-chewing food for babies, which was common practice among our ancestors before the unfortunate advent of germophopbia and baby food.  Apparently it transfers beneficial bacteria and enzymes to baby as well as sustenance.

Makes me want to grind my own hamburger.  Nothing wrong with using the whole cow of course, but treating with ammonia?  Ewww...

Introductions / Re: Not losing!!

I don't think 3 lbs in 9 days is that bad, actually.  You'll find most folks here don't worry too much about how fast the weight comes off because everyone is in it for the long haul.  If eating this way makes you feel good then that is the main thing, and if you keep up what you are doing (ie not cheating) you will lose weight if you need to.  It just may not be as fast as you might like.  Having said that, if you post the food you are eating you might get more specific advice from other members about what you need to do.

A lot of people start slowly and change one thing at a time, so I think you are on the right track. Maybe try getting one of the many cookbooks people talk about on the forums, and that might give you some good dishes to try with your family.  But I think the best advertisement will be how good you are going to look and feel as you plunge deeper into this lifestyle!

I just got some kelp noodles too!  I put them in a simple stir fry with pork belly, carrots and broccoli.  I really liked the texture.  It definitely adds a little something to the dish.

I used to fast from Friday after dinner to Saturday before dinner.  I found it very difficult.
